FAST FACTS
Discover Play School is home to approximately 35 number of students from ages 2 to 5. Unlike other schools that like to have as many students as possible to generate as much profit as possible, we strive to stay focused on our objective of giving every child individualized attention. Therefore, we like to keep our student count small.
Our teachers are highly-trained professionals. At minimum, all head teachers are married, have earned a bachelor's degree and Montessori trained. Many visiting faculty members have also earned masters and other post-graduate degrees. Discover Play School teachers have taught an average of 10+ years.
GOVERNANCE
A Board of Trustees provides oversight for the school. The Board maintains fiscal oversight, ensures that the organization's mission is fulfilled, and appoints administrative leadership.
HISTORY
Discover Play School was founded in 2004 with the objective of providing authentic Montessori education for their children. As our reputation grew improvement of facilities continued in the following years.
Discover Play School celebrates 16 years of Montessori education in Guwahati in 2020.
CULTURAL DIVERSITY
Discover Play School families and staff hail from all Assam and other parts of India. Overseas visiting faculty visit the school periodically.
